Electronic Thermometer: Traditional Chinese Circuit Design Guide (Part
In short: Traditional Chinese Electronic thermometer — Circuit Design, Parts List & Workshop Prototype Guide (Part 2). This entry documents a circuit & prototype taken from Chinese practical-technology literature, written for small-scale makers and home producers. The text below is the full English translation of the original Chinese workshop notes, covering materials and quantities, the step-by-step sequence, and the practical cautions recorded in the source. Roughly 2468 words of English technical text, translated and preserved without editing. It is intended for experimental and reference use, not for regulated or commercial certification.
electronic thermometerFigure 9 is the schematic diagram of the electronic thermometer. The sensor uses the thermistor RT. In the circuit, RT, resistors R1, R, potentiometer RP1 and trimmer potentiometer RP2 form a measuring bridge. The bridge output is amplified by an operational amplifier (F007), and then balanced by two light-emitting diodes. When the bridge is balanced, the brightness of the light-emitting diodes VD1 and VD2 is the same. Potentiometer RP1 is used to adjust the bridge balance. When measuring, the sensor RT is placed on the person's armpit. Due to the different temperatures of the human body, the RT resistance changes, the bridge loses balance, and the brightness of VD1 and VD2 is different. Adjust RP1 to rebalance the bridge, and the change value of RP1 indirectly reflects the temperature of the human body. By converting the change in RP1 value into a scaled value of temperature, the body temperature can be intuitively reflected, which is simple and fast in response. When the bridge is balanced: R1=R=RT where R1 is the actual value of the series connection of RP1 and RP2, and RT is the thermistor with a short time constant negative temperature coefficient. Within the operating temperature range, the resistance change is 20kΩ.For example: …
