Practical Quick-acting Painkiller: Traditional Chinese Circuit Design
In short: Traditional Chinese Practical Quick-acting painkiller. This entry documents a circuit & prototype taken from Chinese practical-technology literature, written for small-scale makers and home producers. The text below is the full English translation of the original Chinese workshop notes, covering materials and quantities, the step-by-step sequence, and the practical cautions recorded in the source. Roughly 5986 words of English technical text, translated and preserved without editing. It is intended for experimental and reference use, not for regulated or commercial certification.
Quick-acting analgesic deviceBring your own radio magic needle:The circuit is shown in Figure 62-1. It consists of three parts. A radio or cassette recorder is used to generate a music signal. When receiving the music, select a radio station that plays music, or play a music tape. If the music signal is required to be relatively stable, try not to choose music that is sometimes very strong and sometimes very weak, so that the stimulation intensity can be adjusted during electrotherapy. The music signal of the radio or cassette recorder is sent from the output of the final ear stage jack to the primary side of the transformer T. T is a step-up transformer, and the production of T varies depending on the selected core material. If T is made of manganese-zinc ferrite core E7, its transformation ratio is 50:1, the low-voltage side is wound with 30 turns, the wire diameter is Φ0.2; the high-voltage side is wound with 1500 turns, and the diameter is Φ0.1. The iron core of the radio output transformer can also be wound, and the transformation ratio is recommended to be 80:1; if the iron core is larger, the transformation ratio can be reduced. Or take a few taps on the high-voltage side to adjust the stimulation intensity of the current during use. In addition, a pot-shaped manganese-zinc ferrite magnetic cup can also be used to wind the step-up transformer T. Of course, if the size is required to be reduced, the iron core and magnetic core should be selected as small as possible, such as E5 ferrite core. The change in T can also be determined from the output intensity.During electrotherapy, when the adjustable intensity reaches the maximum, the patient should be able to withstand the electrical stimulation. If the transformation ratio of T is too high and the output signal is too strong, fine adjustment will be inconvenient. The output music signal of T can be used as an ordinary electrotherapy device by connecting two metal pieces as electrodes through the output socket, or it can be connected with electronic eardrum electrodes to form a "magic needle". The electronic eardrum electrode is an auricle-shaped electrode made of conductive rubber, with a body resistance of about 100Ω. Electronic eardrum electrodes are not sold in the market, which brings certain difficulties to homemade "magic needles", but readers can make their own. Moreover, the "magic needle" product comes with one large eardrum and one small eardrum, which is difficult to adapt to everyone's auricle. Even if the electronic eardrum electrode is worn, it cannot close to all acupuncture points of the human ear."Magic Needle":The commercially available "magic needle" circuit is shown in Figure 62-2. The music film KD9300 has many types of music stored in it. You should choose a music signal with a stable signal so that the stimulation intensity can be adjusted during electrotherapy. The music signal output is amplified by the VT tube, and then boosted by T before the output is sent to the electronic eardrum electrode. The requirements for T are the same as T in Figure 62-1. Potentiometer RP is used to adjust the output signal strength.Variable music "magic needle":Commercially available "magic needles" only have one music signal, which will cause patients to adapt to the same music signal during electrotherapy and affect the therapeutic effect. For this reason, different music signals can be set and then converted through switches. Figure 62-3 is a four-tone musical piece alt="101.jpg (15656 bytes)">Figure 62-1 …
